Dean Wareham & Britta Phillips are former members of the band Luna. Their new album is "Back Numbers," produced by Tony Visconti (Bowie, T. Rex). Dean & Britta first teamed up in 2003 with "L'Avventura," an album of covers and duets produced by Tony Visconti. Sonic Boom (Spacemen 3, Spectrum, E.A.R.) remixed select songs for an EP entitled "Sonic Souvenirs." Dean & Britta have also delved into the world of film score/soundtrack, including Noah Baumbach's "The Squid & the Whale," and Olivier Assayas' "Clean". Started by Wareham in 1992, Luna made 7 studio albums before calling it quits in 2005. Lunaâ€™s "Best Of" was recently released by Rhino and Beggarâ€™s Banquet. A documentary film of Luna's final tour, "Tell Me Do You Miss Me," premiered at Tribeca Film Festival last year and is available on Rhino DVD. Britta joined Luna in 2000. Before that, she played in several bands (Belltower, Ultrababyfat, Ben Lee), starred in the movie Satisfaction (with Julia Roberts and Justine Bateman and Liam Neeson and Steve Cropper), and was the singing voice of 80s cartoon character, JEM.
