- Lifeguard Nights was founded in early 2007 when Vincent Brue decided to get some friends together to perform some of the literally hundreds of songs he had been recording in his apartment. What started out as a solo project soon morphed into a 10 piece ensemble, featuring a percussion section, keyboards, trumpets, harmony vocals and more. This incarnation of Lifeguard Nights first took the stage at NYC's famed Mercury Lounge, garnering a favorable review from Limewire.com, who wrote "Lifeguard Nights play with infectious satisfaction...their universal good-will spreads through the crowd...onlookers find themselves singing along with the choruses..."
