Just as storms are defined by the energy they absorb as they evolve, The Passage Project, too is defined by the energy it absorbs from an ever-changing array of musicians and talent that join its recording sessions and performances around the country. At the center (the eye) of The Passage Project are Tyler Unland and Allan Borukhovich. The Passage Project is on a constant mission to find the balance between the live electronic aspect and the high level of musicianship this duo brings to the stage. Bringing a new level of originality to the live electronic genre, they combine fusion and progressive rock with a wide array of electronic varieties. While doing this, they always keep it funky and danceable. The Passage Project has shared the stage w/ such notable names as The New Deal, Shpongle/Hallucinogen, Ott, The Benevento/Russo Duo, Boombox, The Join feat Conspirator, Kan'Nal, Bustle in your Hedgerow, etc.
The Passage Project took advantage of the opportunity to record their debut album in the cradle of american popular music, Woodstock, New York. Special guests on the album include: Tony Levin (Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, John Lennon, Pink Floyd), John Medeski (Medeski Martin and Wood), Danny Louis (Gov't Mule) Ben Combe (Particle), Michael Bernier (avante-stickist), and many others! Engineered and mixed by Roman Klun.
