The Hot Rats: official website; myspace; Best known as one half of Britain’s much loved pop rock combo Supergrass, Gaz Coombes and Danny Goffey have now teamed up with world reknowned producer Nigel Godrich to bring you The Hot Rats.

The Hot Rats are set to release an album of cover songs from some of their favourite Artists. The Beatles song Drive My Car was used in a fragrance advert featuring Sienna Miller. -Last FM

The Heavy: myspace; The weight that you are experiencing has come from the depths of a little town, just outside of Bath called Noid. This is where acoustic guitars and age old samplers, coupled with the filthiest horns, guitar licks and disturbing lower frequencies dwell, in the heads of The Heavy. Picture Tom Waits fostering the Rza while John Bonham and The Parliaments host a gargage sale for Chester Burnett, Willie Mitchell and the Stooges........ That kind of thought will get you into a whole heap of trouble and mess, as we found out. The Heavy reak of lo fi samples and broken down beats, a disgusting but yet compelling delivery on all fronts and more stinky than anything that has ever come out of your back passage.

Sean Bones: official website; myspace; Canvas shorts and reggae music sound like summer spent by the water being lazy. Sean Bones is not lazy. Aside from holding down bass duties in indie sons Sam Champion, he designs and runs S/S Friends, Ltd.--a line of limited edition canvas shorts, zines, and vinyl based in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn--and cuts old-school reggae tracks under his own name. "Easy Street" is basically a classic pop joint with some give, all swelling B3 stabs, doo-wop harmonies, and Sean's wandering drawl over it all. For those that think Vampire Weekend too obviously cop African sounds, scope this track's perfect marriage of reggae rhythms and pop structure, the chord change on the chorus really pushes it next level.
